Lock Lifesavers!I can say as a sixteen-year old teenager in California that my hair is my life. I have spent countless hours on the internet finding new and cool things to do with my hair. I have watched tutorials on You Tube and gotten very useful information about hair care and hair products.
Here are just a few tips that I learned throughout all my research!
Heat can equal damage. One thing no girl wants is frizzy, untamable hair with split ends. This doesn't necessarily mean you can't use heat though! I have learned that it is best to use heat in moderation. This can mean anything from lowering the setting on your blow dryer, hair straightener, curler, etc.
Also, you can limit the amount of times you use heat on your hair to a couple times per week. If this doesn't sound like it would fit your lifestyle, then there is an easy and quick fix that is sure to save your hair from future damage. That life saver is heat protectant spray!
I didn't know about this until about a year and a half ago and this product has become a part of my daily routine and can be found in almost every drug store and is usually sold at a very reasonable price. It can come from hair products lines like TRESemme and probably your favorite set of hair care products! It protects my hair from turning into a frizzy, tangled, damaged mess by the end of each week, all by just simply spraying it on before applying heat.
Another thing to be aware of when learning new things about hair, especially when making drastic changes is don't always listen to myths, or what people say. Everybody's hair is different. T hat?s why it is good to experiment with your hair and find out about its best qualities. When making big changes like dyeing, cutting or any other new hairdo, don't assume that just because it looks good on someone else means it's going to look good on you!
I have learned this from experience when I wanted Demi Lovato?s beautiful fringe bangs. As it turns out, that was definitely not my look! That?s why it is so important to know your hair type. You don't have to take it out on a date or anything, but just be aware of the positives and negatives of your hair. When it comes to myths, I have fallen victim to these misleading notions.
Everywhere you read about hair there will always be people telling you all kinds of tricks and things to do to make your hair look and feel better. While this is most common in products, it's also common in simple hair ideas.
For example, I read in one magazine that washing your hair in cold water will make it nice and shiny. We all want that, right? Well I read in another magazine that your hair doesn't even react to the temperature of water! So it's always good to search around when using new hair tricks, maybe look in magazines like Seventeen, or even ask your friends! These are just some friendly, and hopefully useful, tips on hair, so have fun experimenting!
