Turquoise Hair Well, it all started when I wanted to dye my hair turquoise. I went to Sally's Beauty Supply to get the items I needed. I got a lot of bleach and the "Tripped up Turquoise" by Beyond the Zone. I thought it was a beautiful color and just what I wanted.
Well, did I mention at the time that I wanted to dye my hair it was jet black and my roots had been coming through? I knew it was a risky situation to put myself through, but I didn't really care. What can I say? I'm only 16 and I love to experiment with my hair color.
Well, I started the first bleaching session and well it didn't go as expected. I really don't know what I expected. It was not just orange; it was a light orange color. And my hair looked horrible. I knew I couldn't leave it that color. I started my second bleaching session.
I started to get happy because it looked like a really nice light blonde color, but little did I know it was only the roots. I washed all the bleach out for the second time and my roots looked good, but not my ends. My roots were a nice blonde color and the ends were darker.
I knew my hair couldn't take another bleaching session because it was too dry and very damaged as it was. So I decided to put the turquoise on. My bad hair day just kept getting worse. It was hideous. My roots were turquoise, but unfortunately the ends weren't. It looked like a crayon box exploded on my head. It was turquoise and what looked like a purplish color on the bottom.
My hair was such a mess. It was dry, damaged, hideous and completely ruined - all in one bad hair day. I couldn't stand the site of it, and to top it all off, I had to get my hair cut because my ends were just dead and disgusting. After all that I ended up with dry, damaged, disgusting short hair.
But I have to say I did learn my lesson about wacky hair experiments. I haven't really dyed my hair a lot since then because I wouldn't have any hair left on my head. Well, now I know never try the impossible when the impossible is never reachable. I've always liked to dye my hair unusual colors, but that was my worst hair experiment ever. Well girls, it serves me right for not thinking what I was doing through all the way and my hair hated me for it.
