Well, my Valentine's Day story is probably the best, but worst story ever! About six years ago, I fell in love with my first boyfriend. It was 2007 and I was a freshman in high school. We were really into each other and we were pretty much inseparable through our high school years. Senior year came and then graduation. I went to a community college and he started working. A few months later, we had an extremely bad break up. It was very emotional and heartbreaking for us, as well as our families.
But we kept in touch with each other. By the time the New Year came around in 2012, we fell out of touch for about a month. January 30th would have marked six years of us dating. He texted me and said, “Happy Anniversary.” After that we got back together. Valentine's Day was coming up and I had no idea what to do, so I just acted like I had a plan for us that day.
Well, it was midnight and we were having a scary movie night and just staying up all night and then spending Valentine's Day and night together. Well, he had another plan in mind! Yelling from the bathroom, he told me to go ahead and play the movie and he was going to get the popcorn. I didn't realize what movie he had put in, so I was just waiting. I grew inpatient and skipped all the previews. He came back into the room and we started watching the movie. Now keep in mind I'm terrified of clowns and creepy dolls. Well, he had put in the movie IT. Worst movie ever, but I watched it. Halfway through the movie I fell asleep. BAD IDEA!
This fool, thinking it was funny, put a clown mask on and then tried to wake me up. When I woke up I saw this big creepy guy standing over me with a clown mask on. So I did what any person would do. I started kicking, punching and screaming. I tried to run away, but I slipped on the rug and had hit my head on the corner of the steps and passed out. Meanwhile, my head has a giant hole in it and I'm bleeding all over the floor and he's screaming like a little girl, or so I was told.
He finally called 911. When I woke up 14 hours later in the ER, the doctor said I had a concussion and required seven stitches and five staples. Part of my hair buzzed off. I was mad. By the time I was able to leave the hospital, it was dark, almost 5:30 in the evening. I thought the whole day was ruined and I was missing hair. I was upset and was silent the whole car ride home. I got into the house and all of our family was there to see if I was ok. I was, even though I was bald in the most visible spot on my whole head. But as I went on to tell the story of what had happened, I went to turn around and grabbed his hand and there he was, keeling. He proposed to me and I couldn't say yes at that very moment because I had to take a shower. You see, he scared me so bad that I had peed myself and didn't know it until I was home. Nobody told me until I saw the stain on my PJ's. But the next day I said yes. Our wedding isn't till 2015 after I graduate from college.
